This international competition exhibits a selection of 15 short films, with running times of less than 40 minutes, which are representative of new aesthetic and expressive trends in world cinema. This section places a special emphasis on new, emerging and not yet fully established authors, as well as on smaller and lesser-known cinematic offerings.

An international jury composed of 5 figures from the world of film and culture will award the following prizes:

• Nuove Visioni Aquilino Reale d’Oro (Little Golden Eagle) for Best Short Film: €10,000 (shared equally between the producer and distributor);
• Audience Award: €5,000 for the short film receiving the highest number of audience votes (awarded to the distributor, who will guarantee an international contract).

The awards will be delivered only and exclusively behind a distribution contract at the exit of the work in theaters.
