Discover the places where the film festival InMovieFest2021 will be held
PALAZZO AURUM | Pescara
The magical venue of the first edition of the International Festival Inmoviesfest 2021
Place of identity of the city of Pescara, an admirable architectural structure that sinks its roots in the past, enhancing it in the form and intentions. Thus it is how the Aurum building occurs today: a place open to culture and every artistic expression, capable of turning on the reflectors on the importance that this space is located for the city of Pescara and beyond.
SVEVO CASTLE | Termoli
The Svevo castle and its silhouette that stands against the sky is one of the symbols of Termoli.
The architectural features allow to suppose that the castle was built in the Norman era (XI century), entirely in limestone and sandstone, near a pre-existing Longobard tower. However the “Svevo” definition seems to have been attributed following the restructuring and fortification desired by Federico II of Swabia in 1240, after the damages caused by an attack on the Venetian fleet. Most likely the castle of Termoli was part of a larger defense system, consisting of walls that surrounded the entire perimeter of the city and from different crenellated towers, of which one has been preserved intact and is located at the entrance of the ancient village.
ARENA SFERISTERIO | Macerata
Built between 1823 and 1829 by a hundred wealthy Maceratesi citizens (which are named of “Circus members”), the building was erected on the project made by Ireneo Aleandri and with the direction of the works of Salvatore Innocenzi. The spherister, with a large rectilinear wall, an elegant succession of arches marked by 56 columns to support a double order of stages and a stone balcony that acts as a closure frame, initially hosts the ball game with the bracelet, a lot in vogue in the half of the nineteenth century.
After the First World War, in 1921, Pietro Conti starts what becomes the most prestigious appointment of the year, now known throughout Europe, giving the Aida of Verdi as the first great legal representation of the spherister, which follows the following year Ponchielli’s Gioconda.
With its natural acoustics, more than 3000 seats, 104 stages and a remarkable stage of the spheristery arena, which in the summer seasons hosts significant complementary musical events at the Lirico billboard (Musicultura festivals, light music concerts and jazz) is defined , and at reason, “WONDER WORKSHOP”.
